Portable turntable sound
Vintage Caliphone 1400 series players were made between the 1960s and 1990s, providing portable record-playing capabilities and making these models ideal for classroom use. Our model was in fact deaccessioned from Concordia’s ed tech collections. This model comes self-contained in a sturdy carrying case, and can play 33, 45, 78, and 16 rpm records! The Califone features play and pause, which makes it ideal for listening to spoken recordings, as well as volume and tone switches. It also has a jack for an external speaker in case you want to go louder than the perfectly adequate built-in speaker that comes with it.
